  • Guar gum is made from the endosperm of guar beans, a type of legume. The process involves dehulling, milling, and screening the beans to separate the endosperm, which is then processed into a powder. This powder, known as guar gum, is widely used as a thickening and stabilizing agent in various food applications

    Among the main uses of Guar are:

    • Thickener and stabilizer for food products, such as sauces, ice cream, cheese and desserts
    • Dietary fiber to promote intestinal regularity and healthy gut microbiota
    • Dietary supplement to increase fiber intake and reduce fat and sugar absorption

    Guar dosage depends on the specific use and characteristics of the final product. In general, the dosage varies between 0.1 and 2 percent of the total product weight.
