 Put 35g (2tps) of custard powder and 35g (1-2tsp) sugar in a boiling pan.

Mix into a smooth paste with a little (70ml) milk take from 570ml

Heat the remaining milk to nearly boiling and pour onto the custard mix, stirring well.

Return to the saucepan and bring to the boil over a gentle heat, stirring continuously. 

Ingredients:

Cornstarch, Salt, Permitted Colours (Tartrazine CI 19140, Sunset Yellow CI15985, and Erythrosine CI 45430) and Permitted Flavour.
